Fortnite Friend Request Not Working

The game called Fortnite allows you to play the game with your friends instead of strangers. If you want to play with your friends, then you will need to learn how to add friends to this game. You immediately have the chance to play with them who also use the same console.

For instance, if you are playing on Xbox One, you are able to invite your Xbox Live friends and if you play on PS4, then you are able to invite the PlayStation Network friends.Inviting a friend who uses a different platform is also possible. If you want to play the game with someone using a different platform, you have to add them through Fortnite or the Epic Games launcher PC app. In order to a friend, the first thing that you have to do is to launch Fortnite and create a Save the World, Battle Royale, or Creative lobby.

Then, tap the friends icon for PC or mobile; the view button for Xbox One; the – button for Nintendo Switch; and the touchpad button for PS4. The next thing is to click Add Friends for PC or mobile, press X for Xbox One, press Y for Switch, or press Square for PS4. After that, choose the Enter Display Name or Email and enter the Epic Games display name of your friend or their email. If you enter everything right, you will see a Friend Request Sent message. When your friend accepts the request, you will see them in your friends list in the Epic Friends section.

In case the friend request is not working or if you are unable to send and or receive friends invites, there are some possible reasons behind it. You may have tried to send a friend request to an account that has reached the friend request limit of 700 or you may have 700 or more pending friend requests.

If you want to delete all pending friend requests on your account, please turn on auto decline mode for your friends list. As you cannot disable friend requests, declining them automatically is the best choice. To enable the Auto Decline feature, first of all, open the main menu. Then, click the settings gear icon. Next, click the silhouette icon if you want to open the Account tab. Afterward, locate the option Auto Decline Friend Requests, which is located under the Social header. Do not forget to press the arrow to choose Yes or No. Pressing Yes means your account will automatically decline the friend requests. If you press No, it means you are able to manually accept or decline the friend requests.
