Fortnite Default Skin Names List

A default skin is the standard character in Fortnite. You are able to play as the default characters even when you have a skin. In order to do it, you need to go to your locker tab in Fortnite. Then, choose “outfit” and click the X in the top left. However, you cannot select exactly one as it is random.

When you play as a default then people will assume you are bad, because you have no skin. Apparently, a default is also a word that describes a noob or a bot in the game. According to the creator of Fortnite (Epic Games), the technical name for a default is recruit. It is how they appear in the kill feed when you have Streamer Mode enabled.


There are 8 different default skins that you can play. Here is the list of the default skin names:

  • Jonesy

Jonesy is the one from Fortnite Save the World. This one represents the Soldier class. The outfit is also used for one of the randomized, default avatars in Fortnite Battle Royale.

  • Ramirez

Ramirez can be described as a playable soldier character associated with the Rescue Trooper and Master Grenadier subclasses. This one is also the first hero and soldier introduced in the beginning of the Save the World campaign. The girl is the following age 18 ½.

  • Headhunter

Headhunter is the name of playable Soldier Hero in Fortnite Save the World. She has an unknown character race and nationality. This one is believed to be one of the three voice acted characters by Adria Arjona who also acted as the voice of a main character in the game named Ramirez. The skin also has various reskinned appearances in the Fortnite Battle Royale on specific cosmetics.

  • Spitfire

Spitfire is known as a playable soldier character associated with the Commando subclass. This one may appear as additional subclasses due to event or exclusive content.

  • Hawk

Hawk refers to the character in Fortnite Save the World that represents the Soldier class. This one is used as a model for the Absolute Zero skin, the Infiltrator skin, the Tracker skin, the Galaxy skin, the Desperado skin, and the Patch Patroller skin.

  • Renegade

Just like Jonesy and Hawk, Renegade is the name of a character in Fortnite Save the World that represents the Soldier class. This one is used as a model for the Sushi Master skin and the Special Forces skin.

  • Banshee

Banshee is also counted in characters in the Fortnite Save the World that represent the Soldier class. She was used as a model for the Renegade skin.

  • Wildcat

Wildcat is the name Fortnite skin that was released on September 26, 2017. It is a Common skin. She represents the Soldier class. The skin is used as a model for the Ginger Gunner, the Brawler skin, the Sunflower skin, and the Tower Recon Specialist skin.
